StarCraft is one the games played during Computer Club at my school. They use those FA$TE$T CA$H PO$$IBLE maps, maximum speed, and multi-command hacks to make it all macro. Wuss.

Agreed on Warhammer 40k Dawn of War! If only the franchise would be put on a spanking new engine... I'm still looking forward to Soulstorm though. =]

Dawn of War: Definantly up there on the list of "worst multiplayer gaming communities ever in the history of infinity." To think I ran into assholes in every corner in GW, DoW may infact be worse! This isn't to say I still don't love it, I just hate the people who play it.

And also, it is in no way as awesomely balanced as Starcraft is. One word: Necrons.

More of a Football Manager fan myself. I dabble in RTS games sometimes. Never got into SC though.

Sorry, but starcraft was the best game to ever come out in this world. There has never been a more balanced and more intense real time strategy game. I played this game for years.

I liked everything except top vs bottom money maps.
Terran was my fav, then toss, and i was [email protected]

The Diplomacy scenarios are amazing, especially when you think of Brazil dropping millions of troops into Italy for a march onto Russia

C&C has sub-series of RA, Tiberian, and Generals.

Generals was just a hideous game.

RA was pretty good, I liked it for the PS and the PC.

I however like the Tiberian series a lot more, probably because that was the original, and the one that got me started with C&C.

The only problem with Diplo was that if you played the one where you select your nation, Syria was imba.

In pretty much every Diplo, Russia was absolutely imba

I wasn't into pc games when starcraft came out and I can't come to pay money for a game that is 10 years old. play sometimes at a friends house and it is fun enough but you can definitely tell it is and old game. will be picking up sc2 when it comes out, blizzard needs to make 2 billion this/next year instead of the 1.3 they made last year, you know.
